The family quickly contacted their local wildlife rescue centre, which attended to assess and remove the reptile from the premises. Although some may have been alarmed by this unexpected sighting, it turns out that these lizards are quite common in Australia during summertime, as they often seek shelter in cool places such as homes or even cars! As for this particular lizard’s homecoming journey – it was returned safely to its natural habitat.
